Southland stars Benjamin McKenzie for the role of Ben Sherman, a rookie cop who joins the unit in LA. Arija Bareikis as Chickie Brown, Shawn Hatosy as Sammy Bryant, Kevin Alejandro as Nate Moretta, Michael McGrady as Daniel Salinger, Tom Everett Scott as Russell Clarke, Regina King as Lydia Adams and Michale Cudlitz as John Cooper.

On his very first day on the job, new cop Ben Sherman begins to question whether he is cut out for the job or not. Adding to his struggles is the fact that his partner is a stern veteran who expects nothing but perfection from him. Meanwhile, detectives investigate the disappearance of a girl who is believed to have been kidnapped right from the front yard of her home.
