There have been news recently about the issue between Walgreens and Express Script. For the uninitiated, Walgreens has negotiated with Express Scripts for a new contract to be able to continue as part if the company’s pharmacy provided network. However, the negotiations has been unsuccessful and Walgreens isn’t part of the network now. 

What is Express Scripts?

Express Scripts is the middleman between pharmacies providing the health care service and employers and health plans who pay for the medications. Us subscribers don’t see the rates Express Scripts pays to Walgreens. What we know is how much we’ve paid Express Scripts and that we can use it in Walgreens when we need to buy medicines.

So now, with the issue between Express Scripts and Walgreens, who is really affected?

The consumers and patients are the ones affected. How are they feeling? Many are upset about losing access to Walgreens pharmacies as the result of Express Scripts’ actions of not renewing the contract with Walgreens.

What will happen to the customers then? People need not be worried as Walgreens is offering a special discount on annual membership for Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. Here are the special prices only for January:

• Individual membership – $5
• Family membership – $10

Regular annual membership for an individual is $20 while it’s $35 for family. You can save more if you will be joining as a family which covers everyone in your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and even your pets.

I love joining contests, especially if it’s online and very easy to do. I’ve won in some contests already, winning cash prizes, slippers, clothes, gift certificates and accessories. When I went to the hospital last week for checkups, I’ve noticed that there are different scrubs worn by each hospital stuff. Nurses in the delivery room wear blue while resident doctors wear gray. Those who are in the operating room wear green. I’m sure there are other scrubs worn for each hospital department, but the nurses in the nurse station wear the traditional hospital nurse uniform. They are assigned to other departments so they get to wear scrubs too.

I just think they have to wear scrubs in fashion to break the monotony of simple colored scrubs. Tops or pants in floral for girls or stripes for guys would be good. The doctors can also wear different colored scrubs because sometimes patients do confused them with nurses or vice versa. If the nurses or doctors will be wearing fashion scrubs, I might even switch to being a nurse instead of an information technology programmer but I’m not sure if I can do what the nurses do.

Bill will find ways to overcome the anti-polygamist sentiment swelling among state officials while Barb’s strategic attendance at First Ladies’ fashion show will trigger lingering resentment between Nicky and Margene, as well as between Barb and Nicki.

Meanwhile, Rhonda and exiled polygamist Verlan will try to shake down Alby and Margene and Pam will find their niche with Goji Blast and Michael Sainte.

Nicki will push for Cara Lynn’s adoption, Lois will learn the source of her ailment and Ben will reward Heather for her sensitivity.
