The Times Square ball measures 3.7m in diameter and weights 5,386 kg and can be seen mid-way atop the pole, raised at 145m above. Since 2009, the ball became a permanent fixture lighted up.

If you want to be on Times Square for the event, you must be there the day before and get a place to view the dropping or go there early since millions of people go to NYC just for this.

Many TV networks will feature this event and one of those is ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2012 with Ryan Seacrest. NBC also has their New Year’s Eve with Carlson Daly, CNN has their New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin.

NORAD is the way to track Santa online. The site, which uses Google Earth to track Santa Claus so you can go to 2011 NORAD Santa Tracker to know. There are lots of ways to do this now such as online via your PC, your mobile phone, follow Santa through twitter and Facebook. You can begin tracking at 6am. See Santa leave the North Pole as he goes to different parts of the world.

You can also track Santa via the Santa Update website. Check out the site for more updates on Santa as well. It sure is an exciting event for kids!

This year, you can see Santa on your mobile phone. Open google maps on your mobile phones on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2011 and search for “Santa” to see his whereabouts.

Walmart, Best Buy, Target and other major retailers were closed last year and this year is not going to be an exception, most likely. But stores which serves lots of consumers such as convenience stores, grocery stores and gasoline stations might be open.

If you want to grab some coffee, Starbucks is open as well as some other local stores. But to be sure, better check it out with your local newspapers. Some restaurants open on Christmas too as well as some movie theaters.

Are you a TV buff and is looking for something new to watch? Do you want television drama with some hint of suspense and action? You might want to check out a new work-in-progress television drama, the Untitled Jersey City Project. 

The story of this new show is set amidst the fast-developing Jersey City waterfront, just across the river from Manhattan. A shining new city is being built on the edge of this gritty town. But while the glass office towers and condos are sleek and new, the rules of the game haven’t changed one bit.

Everyone here has something to gain – money, fame, power. Or they can lose big. They could end up dead either.

The storyline is pretty interesting, the actors are good looking and convincing which made me wish I can watch the whole television drama. I like the concept of a press reporter giving a bad press about a project and the men involve will meet and then the lead will be more intimate with this reporter. What I want to know if their intimacy is not a spur of the moment. I also want to find out more what twists will there be in the story.

Concentrate and Ask Again Preview

Booth and Brennan are going to investigate the victim, disguised as a scarecrow who was found with a bullet wound in a remote cornfield. Th team is forced to work against the clock to avoid a storm and potential complications that would affect the evidence.

The partners are going to ask the victim’s three wives, who are also sisters, about it and will learn that jealousy between the sisters and their desire for their husband’s attention had caused a major rift in the family. Could it be the reason? Booth and Brennan also question one relative who disapproved of the victim’s polygamy.

Meanwhile, Cam loses confidence in her relationship with her on-call doctor boyfriend, but they both realize they need to make their relationship a priority.

The Sin in the Sisterhood Preview

Alex gets first assignment and that is, to kill the Prince of Georgia at a museum gala which is a group mission. She then tells Nikita about it and they devise a plan to foil the assassination.

The two’s plans will be unsuccessful as Nikita will trust the wrong person, which will result in Division being alerted that Nikita is in the building. Because of this, Percy sends Michael to kill Nikita.
